New deck curve from short stubby fish boards applied to a step down short board. This idea has been in my head for quite sometime.

Cant wait to see if it has positive results.

This curve helps a smaller board not feel to tiny, Yet keeps the sensitivity during turns to be crispy and boast paddle power when not on the wave. In theory.

That’s what is does on some of the fishy boards. Not everything translates well though when you start to need to eek out performance in a performance style short board. So we will see.

Bummers was rooting for Cole, Kaito and Kylen to all advance. At least Kylen made it through.

Board felt stiff. Have used this rocker off and on for a very long time. Can’t tell if it’s because the waves have been kinda bad and funky and lack down the line speed to loosen things up or because been surfing some high tail rocker boards for a bit. The blank felt extra strong as well, and a bit stiff on the flex, and those tiny variations you just gotta roll with.So far it seems like a combo of all the above.Hopefully get some decent waves soon on it to give it a chance. Or the board could get regulated to the bench , and surfed on junk days only for its remaining time. When that happens sometimes a specific board gets unfairly dismissed, and cut quickly out of the quiver. So far only one sesh on it.

Last of the fine tuning of new models. I think we are finally there.
